LAS VEGAS, N.V. — The motif, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” will reign for at least another twelve months as UFB took the 2016 MCFFU Nationals. UFB (Unfinished Business), dominated Nationals Weekend with a chip the size of a golden nugget. Tournament play would open with a blowout over X-factor (26-0) and against and unmatched Denver Rockers, UFB would put up 41 points to 20. Making good use of time, UFB would make an echoing statement as they thrashed the Central Valley Demons (34-8); a team who was previously on the rise. Championship Sunday would etch UFB into elite legitimacy as they made easy work of former perineal champions Long Beach All-Stars, Playboy Bunnies, and Ball Hawks.
Quarterback Anthony Whitney was virtually unstoppable, utilizing his intangibles in a complex spread offense that kept the aforementioned elite on their toes and ultimately on their way home. With MCFFU Worlds up next, it will be interesting to see how UFB will match up against the powerhouses of the East. AMC and Eastland are pre-scheduled to attend MCFFU Worlds, which would make the Tournament the first Major meeting between the two coast since the early 2000’s.
